How long does the examination last?

Standard psychological examination takes about 2 hours, as well as special pedagogical examination takes about 2 hours. These two examinations are often consecutive. The examination for the postponement of school attendance lasts about 1 hour. The examination of "professional orientation" takes about 3.5 hours.

Can parents order themselves or do they have to have a recommendation from school or from doctors?

You do not need any recommendations from school or doctors for the examination in OPPP.

Are your services paid? How much do people pay in your office?

All our services are provided free of charge.

Do you have wheelchair access?

No, unfortunately we do not have wheelchair access.

What should we bring with us?

Notebooks, the school child´s record book, an insurance card, drinks or snacks.

Regional Psychological and Educational Center in Vyškov is located north of the centre of Vyškov toward the second class exit to Pustiměř / Olomouc.

From the bus station - go along Brněnská street, which follows Dukelská street. Go in parallel with the transit route of Vyškov and after passing the third traffic lights turn left onto Letní Street and then right onto Jungmannova street.

From the train station - go along Nádražní street, at the first traffic lights turn left. Go in parallel with the transit route of Vyškov and after passing the third traffic lights turn left onto Letní Street and then right onto Jungmannova street.

Do the reports for students with specific learning disabilities, such as dyslexics, last for one or two years?

There is no regulation to determine the validity of reports of the pedagogical and psychological office, only in individually integrated pupils with disabilities the frequency of examinations is set for the period of one year. At the end of the report we usually set a term for the next examination, which may be in one or two years, or we recommend the next examination according to the needs of the family and school.

Can a grandmother come with the child? If the child is of age, can he/ she come alone?

Unless a child is of age, he/she must come with a legal representative (usually a father or mother) who is acquainted in advance with the course of examination, personal data protection, etc., which he/she confirms with a signature.

What is the school questionnaire and where can we get it?

In the questionnaire a school gives information on a student for the needs of our office, the legal representative is familiar with its content (signs it). You can find it under "DOCUMENTS".

How long are the waiting periods?

Maximum 3 months.

Are the personal data subject to the personal data protection?

Yes (they are subject to the personal data protection according the Act No. 101/2000 Coll).
